LEVELS OF SERVICE

The initial meeting is at our cost and places you under no obligation. No charge will be made without prior notice and all subsequent remuneration will be disclosed in full prior to any chargeable work being carried out.  We are primarily a fee based adviser although we can accept commission under certain circumstances. We offer the following service levels for our clients to enable them to enhance and protect their wealth at a level of involvement and cost which suits their circumstances:

Why an IFA?

Our Reactive Service Provides you with:

An initial report.

  • You will receive an annual portfolio valuation
  • We will carry out work at your request.
  • You will receive email news update service.

For those needing more input from us, our Annual Review Wealth Planning Service provides all of the above plus;
  • You will be kept updated on the progress of your account and you will have access to advice when you need it.
  •  You will receive an annual review meeting.
  • You will have access to our Pension and Investment Review Programs.
  • We will advise you of any new opportunities or products when they are available.
  • We will advise you of overseas property investment opportunities through Hart Financial.

For those needing a high level of input our Proactive Wealth Planning Service we will provide all of the above and in addition;

  •  Bi-annual meetings with up to two extra meetings at no extra cost.

Why an IFA?

Independent Financial Advisors have access to the majority of products and services available in the UK as opposed to a Tied Agent or Company Representative who may only advise and offer products from the company they represent.

How are we paid?

We prefer to work on a fee basis and most of our business is conducted in this way in order to ensure complete transparency. However in certain circumstances you may prefer us to work on a commission basis and we will always be happy to discuss this with you if it is appropriate.

As it states in our terms of business you cannot be charged any fees without prior agreement, no charge will be made for the initial meeting.

Treating Customers Fairly policy

We aim to treat all of our customers fairly and this document is intended to provide a detailed understanding of what this means and the method used to achieve it. If you feel at any point that you have not been treated fairly for any reason by us please contact us with the details and we will address your concerns.

The 11 cornerstone principles of the regulator in the UK- the Financial Services Authority (FSA) which authorizes and regulates us states ‘ a firm must pay due regard to the interests of its customers and treat them fairly’.

Treating Customers Fairly is an expectation which reaches into every aspect of your relationship with us. This includes, but is not limited to, the outcomes listed below.

  • You can be confident that you are dealing with a firm where the fair treatment of customers is central to our corporate culture.
  • Our services are offered to you with care taken that they are suitable for your needs and objectives.
  • You are provided with clear information and are kept appropriately informed before, during and after the point of sale.
  • If you receive advice from us, the advice is suitable and takes account of your circumstances.
  • You are provided with products that perform as we have led you to expect, and the associated services are both of an acceptable standard and as you have been led to expect.
  • You do not face unreasonable post-sales barriers imposed by us to change product, switch provider, submit a claim or make a complaint.

 

All members of staff are actively encouraged to bring any example where a procedure may not have resulted in a customer being treated fairly to the attention of senior management. Any incidents will be investigated thoroughly and corrective action taken if appropriate.

As part of the agreement with you, we establish a program of ongoing advice which can be at whatever level is appropriate for your needs.

On-line support available
We can provide you with an electronic trading platform which will enable you to view all your investments whenever it suits you. In addition to the latest value of your portfolio, you will be able to access your full trading history. The system also allows you to buy and sell underlying investments at a fraction of the cost of buying direct and is very simple to use .

Ongoing support available
Unlike advisers who are paid for selling products, our remuneration comes from ensuring that you receive the most appropriate advice. By using a transparent fee charging structure you will always be in control of costs.
